  23.  The ScanTek scanner driver has the following features:
  24.  
  25.  1. Support of the following SCSI Microtek scanner models:
  26.         MICROTEK IISP, MICROTEK II, HIGHSCREEN Flatbed Color IIs,
  27.         ScanMaker E3, ScanMaker 35t
  28.  
  29.     Support of the following SCSI Mustek scanner models:
  30.         Three Pass Scanners:
  31.         6000CX, 8000CX (not tested), 12000CX (not tested) all should work
  32.  
  33.         One or Single Pass Scanners:
  34.         6000SP, 8000SP (not tested), 12000SP (not tested) all should work
  35.         6000CZ (not tested), 8000CZ (not tested)
  36.  
  37.         600IISP, 800IISP (not tested) all should work
  38.  
  39.     If your scanner is not mentioned in the list above try it and
  40.     give me a response whether it works or not.

  42.     Attention: Mustek scanners have a critical SCSI interface. It
  43.                was reported to me that these scanners may not work
  44.                with the A3000(T) internal SCSI interface. It is
  45.                possible that these scanners do not work with other
  46.                SCSI host adapters, either.
  47.                But the Mustek 6000CX works in combination with an
  48.                Oktagon SCSI host adapter.
  49.                Be sure to disable reselection for Mustek scanners
  50.                on your SCSI host adapter. Otherwise your system may
  51.                not boot.

  54.  2. Support of black/white, built-in halftone (dither), one-pass-color-scan,
  55.     three pass color scan, grey, red, green and blue scan.
  56.  
  57.  3. Individual setting of resolution, scanning frame, contrast, shadow,
  58.     midtone, highlight, exposure time and scanning speed for download to the
  59.     scanner.
  60.  
  61.  4. Download of a color look up table (gamma correction table ) to the scanner
  62.     supported.
  63.  
  64.  5. Scanning to IFF File of 1, 8 or 24 bit color depth. The maximum size of
  65.     the scanned image is independent from the RAM size. After the scanning
  66.     process it is possible to start an external program.
  67.  
  68.  6. GUI for preview and configuration of the driver. You need Kickstart 2.04
  69.     but Kickstart 3.0 is recommended.
  70.  
  71.  7. Sizeable preview window in black/white or grey scale. Color preview
  72.     on Cybergraphix screens (15, 16 or 24 bit necessary).
  73.     There are much more skilled programs to view and manipulate the scanned
  74.     images in color. (A tool like ADPRO, IMAGE FX or so is needed, if you
  75.     want to do sophisticated postproduction)

  77.  8. Screenmode requester to define custom screen for working. The actual public
  78.     screen is supported as well
  79.  
  80.  9. Configurable SCSI device and SCSI ID. The driver supports only SCSI
  81.     connectable scanners.

  83.  10. The driver is tested with the following SCSI drivers: oktagon.device and
  84.      gvpscsi.device V4.5.
  85.  
  86.  11. ScanTek is written using SAS C 6.55.
  87.  
  88.  11. ScanTek is SHAREWARE.

  90.  12. The non registered version of ScanTek is a full working version, but all
  91.      scanned images have black lines to motivate you to register.
  92.      Additionally the maximum size of the preview is restricted.
